“The only thing permanent is Change” and with that in mind Dane has worked hard to create this new wine. Always learning and evolving.

A blend of Nero D’avola (90%) and Moscato Giallo (10%). It is in the style of wine that we enjoy drinking the most - a complex yet easy drinking light(er) red with great structure and great harmony between fruit, minerality and acidity.

The fruit for this wine was grown by the Chalmers family on the slopes of their Mt Camel vineyard in Heathcote. These are very rocky, volcanic soils with a complex mix of ironstone, Dolerite Green Basalt and Jasper which imparts an abundance of minerality to the wine. 
About the Producer

When it comes to cult winemakers there are only a few in Australia that have the same following as Momento Mori. With wines that are considered just as alive as the land they farm its not hard to see why.

Dane and Hannah begun Momento Mori with the ideology of creating wines that first and foremost respect the living and are wines that they like to drink and share. They farm two sites one on the steep hills of Strezelecki Ranges in Gippsland and another beneath the Black Snake Ranges in the Tonimbuk valley.

Farmed strictly with organic principles and a appreciation of the living and dynamic environment around them. Momento Mori wines are all very small batch with no use of new oak or mechanical pumps used on the wines, no fining or filtering and no additions, including no S02 at any stage of wine making.

The wines of Momento Mori are vibrant, full of life and aromatic complexity while always exhibiting an impressive purity and precision.

Dane Johns has also started an immensely ambitious project making wine from his own vineyards under the name Nikau Farm.

Doorstep Delivery

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
