Oriol Artigas

Oriol Artigas works as a teacher as well as a winemaker. Situated in Catalunya, in the small town of Alella, just north of Barcelona, Oriol has been cultivating 12 hectares of old vines aged between 15-28 years old on sandy, granitic vineyards overlooking the Mediterranean Sea This is where he recovers and grows typical local varieties, some of which are almost extinct, like Merlot, Garnatxa Negra, Syrah, Mataró (Monastrel) and Sumol. 

Although Oriol Artigas has only been making wines for around 10 years, he has become well known in natural wine circles, and his wines have wowed drinkers across the globe.
