Nestled in the valleys of Hokuto in Yamanashi Prefecture, Uchu Brewing started its life as an organic farm. During a trip to the US to learn more about agriculture, the founder Kusunose-san was inadvertently inspired by the Craft Brewing scene there. Upon his return, he decided to learn more about brewing and to eventually start a brewery. Uchu Brewing represents the cutting edge of beer in Japan, featuring hop-driven beers and smoothie sours. Their beers are commonly sold out on the same day of release in Japan.
