Antoine Bouvet

Located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, a stone's throw from Epernay, the Bouvet estate is a family estate whose vines are spread over three villages classified as premier cru: Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil and Avenay-Val-d' gold which represents the largest of the estate's vines. Special feature of these vines: they all come from mass selections, which allows the wines to gain in complexity thanks to the genetic diversity of the plants and the contribution of the chalky soils.

Antoine gradually took over the vines inherited from his grandfather Guy Bouvet who passed on to him a quality plant heritage and a sensitive approach to the terroir. From the moment he arrived, he favored a minimally interventionist approach by eliminating the use of weedkillers. In 2015, the estate is moving towards organic and biodynamic trials in order to preserve the purity of its berries as much as possible.

His wines play with oxidation creating this sharp, vinous appeal and mineral freshness. These wines are a must try and a true young rising star of Champagne.
