Just 10 mins drive from Antelope meadery is Lakes Farm, a pesticide-free farm where the blueberries in this mead is from. Lakes Farm grows rice, vegetables and fruits organically. As tribute to the owner of Lakes Farm, Kumiko Tsuji, organically farmed blueberries undergo natural fermentation with no added yeast in this mead. With secondary fermentation in an oak barrel, the natural sweetness of blueberries is balanced with tannins from the barrel. You might even mistake this mead for a slightly sweet red wine! Pair with steak or with dessert, or enjoy as an after-dinner treat. Enjoy chilled.
