Grapes: 40% Grenache Noir, 40% Cinsault, 10% Carignanand 10% Syrah

A lovely darker style of rosé with a fruity nose and spice. Pairs well with food. 40% Grenache Noir, 40% Cinsault, 10% Carignan and 10% Syrah, from a vineyard grown organically, situated at the heart of the Hautes Corbières, at 200 metres altitude. The vines are planted on schist and clay-limestone soils. Grapes are harvested by hand, with little crates. Low temperature fermentation, with free-run juice matured in vats for about 10 months. No fining or filtration.

About Producer

Maxime Magnon was originally from Burgundy but was not born with hereditary rights to a domaine. Instead, he made his own wines in Corbières A.O.C. He was fortunate to have purchased some prime parcels of old vines from abandoned plots and rents his cellar—a garagiste if ever there was one. He farms nine parcels over eleven hectares, with steep vineyards that reach high altitudes, and manages it all on his own He cultivates with utmost respect for nature and the soil, adopting biodynamic practices and his vineyard is certified organic.
