Antoine is the grandson of Guy Bouvet who founded the Champagne house in 1970. Always curious in the winemaking, Antoine followed his grandfather since he was a young child. When Antoine turned 17, Guy Bouvet gave him the estate.
Antoine looks after the small 5ha of which only 1ha is used for his own production whilst the rest is sold to Bollinger. This means that that very limited bottles are produced and on average only a 1000 bottles are made per cuvée.
In the vineyards, Antoine practices biodynamic methods, uses spontaneous fermentation and believes in minimum intervention order to preserve the purity of his fruit as much as possible.
Antoine’s love and admiration for his grandfather can be seen in the homage to him on his wine labels. A true young rising star of Champagne.
