Pinot Noir grapes from an organic vineyard in Comblanchien, which is just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, it's a famous place for marble. Vines are almost 40 years old and grow predominantly on clay and limestone. 15 days whole bunch fermentation and aged 1 year in old barrels, so expect some spice and aromatic lift. Not fined or filtered. Succulent, juicy and very tasty. Rhône-like power, with a pretty perfume underneath it all. Serve slightly chilled.
