narai sankei is brewed from rice variety Sankei Nishiki, a name which translates to “blessing from the mountains.” Only registered in 2020, it is a young rice variety bred from Miyama Nishiki, a Nagano sake rice known to be especially well-suited for sake brewing. 

Fresh and floral, with subtle sweetness of Japanese pear and honeysuckle. This sake would pair well with Japanese dishes using white fish, or mildly sweet desserts and wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets).
About the Producer

Suginomori brewery is nestled in the beautiful townscape of Narai-juku, a historic and well-preserved town in Nagano Prefecture. narai uses the fresh mountain water of nearby Kiso Valley, flowing from an altitude of over 1,000m. The water is characterized by its clarity and smooth, rounded texture, brought about by a rare water hardness of less than 25.
