Poulsard is one of the Jura's flagship red grape. Domaine des Marnes Blanches is a boutique winery that makes a one of the best examples of this nearly rosé like red. Think pomegranate, blood orange, oregano.
About the Producer

Domaine des Marnes Blanche was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnay’s to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties.
