This is a fun, refreshing traditional methode bubbly from winemaker/farmer Geraud Fromont in the Jura. 100% Chardonnay, fermented and aged in stainless steel. 15 months on the lees in bottle before disgorgement. Bottled with zero dosage.

On the nose is firm golden apple and crushed white rock, and on the palate is apple, fresh grass, a bit of sea-salt, and  a touch of bitter herbs, with very soft bubbles. A solid choice for aperitif, that's meant to be fun and not overly complex.
About the Producer

Domaine des Marnes Blanche was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnay’s to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties.
